Nicole this is soooo true! When my DS is acting up or not listening we know he needs sleep and if its in the evening, is ready to start his bedtime routine (even if its earlier than his "normal" bedtime of 730-8pm), he is 2yrs old and we definetly go by his cues and what a difference he is SO much happier and his normal self when hes sleeping good at night AND having good naps. Ive had people tell me (with kids the same age) that their toddler 'didn't want to nap' so they just don't bother and then complain about the toddler being very grumpy and hard to deal with. I made the suggestion to my friend about putting her to bed earlier (not 9pm) and putting her down for naps again and she noticed a difference right away!!
These are great articles - way to go!!!

That is so true. We wouldn't let our kids go without eating healthy food for a whole week because 'they didn't seem to need it'! We consistently try to feed them good things! The same with sleep! It has definitely helped me to know that I am helping him with something he needs... to give me motivation to keep helping him learn to go to sleep and stay asleep. Thanks Nicole!
