There is no shortage of baby products that are designed to help your baby sleep better. It’s hard to know which ones to buy so, we are highlighting 12 amazing products we’ve come across over the years to help your baby sleep better. These are in no particular order.
The SNOO Smart Sleeper Bassinet
On the first day of Christmas, my true love gave to me…an automated rocking machine. The SNOO is an innovative product that takes safe baby sleep to an entirely new level. Not only does it have a built-in swaddle that keeps your baby sleeping on his or her back (reducing the risk of SIDS), it will automatically turn on the movement function when your baby starts crying. The amount of time is limited, though, so you don’t inadvertently skip a feeding. Dr. Karp thought of everything when he created this new tool for your toolbox. The SNOO Smart Sleeper Bassinet isn’t cheap, however, but you can rent one. This product can give parents of newborns many more hours of sleep in the first 3-4 months when you lose the most!
And, on the second day of Christmas, my true love gave to me…a wonderful swaddle transition product! The Zipadee-Zip is a wearable blanket that has “wings” to help your baby sleep better. For a baby who still has his moro reflex, the Zipadee-Zip helps “anchor” the baby to help him learn to re-settle back to sleep. For a baby who no longer wants to be swaddle or can be swaddled safely, this product is our #1 recommended sleep sack!

Owlet Baby Sock Monitor
We, new parents, can worry a lot about whether the baby is breathing or not, so the Owlet baby sock monitor is a perfect product to help you sleep better at night. The monitor will detect your baby’s oxygen levels and alert you if there’s a problem. Sure, there are sometimes some false alarms, but we have heard great things about this product from our clients. To put an anxious parent’s mind at ease, we highly recommend this product and it makes a great gift!
The Baby Shusher
We have partnered with Baby Shusher for many years, now. This award-winning product mimics the shushing sound of a parent using a real human voice to lull baby to sleep. This is another product that makes a great baby shower or Christmas gift. The other thing I like about it is that it comes with a way to attach it to a crib, so you can even send one to daycare to help with those daycare naps! For those not in daycare, you can put it in the stroller on a walk to help lull baby to sleep for those on-the-go catnaps. We highly recommend considering a Baby Shusher!
Speaking of on-the-go naps, we LOVE the SnoozeShade! For babies who are highly alert (or nosy) and/or sensitive to light, getting a nap in while you are out and about can be difficult if not impossible. And, when you have an older child at home with a younger baby, at least some naps will inevitably be on-the-go. In addition, many of us travel, and having a way to get a good nap in is a lifesaver! The SnoozeShade is a great product to cover the stroller or Pack-N-Play.
Love to Dream Swaddle UP 50/50 Transition Sleeping Bag
If your baby is still swaddled, we love the Love To Dream Swaddle UP 50/50 Transition Bag! This allows you to swaddle your baby with her arms up, which is the preferred position and it allows for full leg flexion for healthy hip development. Once your baby is ready to start the transition away from swaddling, you can remove the wings (even just one at a time) to ease your baby into the feeling of being unswaddled. It also has a dual zipper to make diaper changes a breeze!
Nanit Pro Smart Baby Monitor & Floor Stand
There are many video monitors out there, but the Nanit Smart Baby Monitor has cutting-edge technology including a split-screen feature to see two cameras in one. The app on your phone will track your baby’s sleep patterns and comes with one free year of insights. In addition, it tracks breaths per minute and sends you real-time sound and motion alerts through your smartphone. The nice thing about this for working parents is you can check in on the baby even when you’re not at home, and we love that! If that’s not enough, the camera auto-captures moments to be saved and shared with loved ones. Awwww!
Super Soft Stuffed Animal Lovey
This adorable elephant is a great first lovey for self-soothing. What we love about this one is that it’s soft and safe for babies, and large enough for toddlers too! It could make a great starter lovey for the younger babies!
Lectrofan Noise Machine
The Lectrofan noise machine has 10 fan sounds and 10 ambient noise variations to help you find that perfect combination to not only put your baby to sleep but help your baby stay asleep. The sounds are non-looping and it has a timer as well. In addition, we love how compact and portable this is so you can take it with you when you travel, which can help the entire family sleep better!
After your toddler transitions to a regular bed, keeping him in bed can be a challenge. The LittleHippo Mella Ready-to-Rise Clock can help keep your child in bed for longer periods of time. This clock will cue your child when it is and isn’t an allowed time to get out of bed. In addition, it has three sound options and five nightlight colors to help soothe your child to sleep. And, it grows with your child, too. As your child gets older, you can set an alarm or timed activities so your child can become more self-sufficient. We highly recommend toddler clocks for toddlers waking early, so this is a clear winning product to consider!
Chicco PhysioForma Pacifier
If your baby has a strong sucking reflex, pacifiers can be a Godsend. The PhysioForma pacifier actively supports your baby’s physiological breathing and the nipple design makes it easier for him to keep it in his mouth. This means he can stay asleep for longer periods of time! These pacifiers are BPA- and LATEX-free and come with a container to sterilize the pacifier in 3 minutes.
